The Building Section is comprised of the Architecture Section, Building unit and Culvert Yard Crew. The Building Section provides architectural and design services to all Ministries that require our assistance, it also provides building inspections when a problem is identified at any government offices and other public infrastructure assets. Assistance is often provided to other Ministries for many miscellaneous requests, once the request is received, we find the means and ways to respond and assist.

At the request of other Ministries, the Building Unit conducts site inspections to identify the cause of the problems indicated. From the site inspections a preliminary report is prepared that identifies the potential cause of the problems and identifies possible solutions to resolving the problems, as there may be many available options to deal with the problem. Along with the report a preliminary costing is also indicated for the available options to resolve the problem. The building section also actively assist with minor repairs to Government Offices and other public assets or facilities with our available support staff. Furthermore, the Building Section with the participation of the Architecture Section and the Building Unit also assist with oversight and supervision of larger project being executed by contractors for other Ministries.

The Building Section is actively responsible for the oversight and maintenance of all MIDH facilities to ensure that all public officers are working in a safe and comfortable environment. Where necessary the Building Section also gladly assist other sections of the Ministry in any way possible. The Building Section strives to give a lending hand to anyone that needs any assistance regardless of what that might require.
